Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Join us for our 2026 Sister2Sister Initiative at Calvary!
Spiritual growth was never meant to happen in isolation. Throughout Scripture, we see the beauty of women encouraging one another, strengthening one another’s faith, and walking faithfully together through every season of life.
Sister2Sister pairs are designed to cultivate intentional, Christ-centered relationships within our church family. By pairing two women together for the year, we create space for deeper discipleship, meaningful friendship, and consistent spiritual encouragement.
This is not another program to manage or a task to complete — it is an invitation to slow down, open God’s Word together, pray faithfully, and grow side by side.
Whether you are eager to pour into another woman or hoping to be encouraged in your own walk, Sister pairs provide a simple and sustainable rhythm for shared spiritual life.
Our hope is that these partnerships will strengthen our women, deepen biblical community, and help each of us continue becoming more like Christ.

Aim to meet once a month, either:

- By video call if meeting in person isn’t possible
- Keep meetings simple and realistic for your season of life.
3. Scripture-Centered Focus
- Together, choose one book of the Bible to study.
- Create a shared study schedule that works for both of you.
- The focus is on reading, understanding, and applying Scripture — not rushing to finish.
4. Using a Shared Guide
- Use Growing Together by Melissa Kruger as a guiding resource. This book will be provided for all who sign up to be in a Sister pair.
This book helps shape healthy rhythms of:
- Scripture reading
- Prayer
- Encouragement
- Accountability
- You don’t need to follow it rigidly — use it as a helpful framework.
5. Getting to Know One Another
- Early on, complete a “Getting to Know You” sheet for your sister.
- This helps build understanding around:
- Life season
- Spiritual background
- Prayer needs
- Communication preferences
- Keep this information private and handled with care.
6. Prayer for One Another
- Commit to praying regularly for your sister.
- Share prayer requests honestly and respectfully.
- Prayer doesn’t have to be long — faithfulness matters more than length.
7. Confidentiality & Trust
- What is shared within your Sister Group stays confidential.
- This includes personal stories, struggles, and prayer requests within safe reason.
- Trust is essential to the safety of this relationship.
8. Encouragement & Grace
- Be a source of encouragement, not pressure.
- Offer listening ears more than quick fixes.
- Extend grace to one another in busy or difficult seasons.
9. Communication & Care
- Communicate openly if something isn’t working.
- Be willing to adjust rhythms as needed.
- Reach out if your sister seems discouraged or absent.
